Country:
United States
Region:
Alaska
Location:
Longitude: -162.7, Latitude: 64.88
Carbonatite:

The Dry Canyon stock covers about 12 km2 and is poorly exposed, but apparently consists mainly of trachytoid hornblende foyaite cut by dykes of perthosite. Amphibole analysed for the age determination gave 3. 8% K2O.

Age:
K-Ar on amphibole from foyaite gave 105 ±3 Ma (Miller, 1972, Table 1).
