A 4x2.5 km granite stock located 2 km east of the southern end of Gabal Ghorab Raiyan (a complex of biotite and muscovite granites) consists of biotite and biotite-riebeckite granites, the amphibole in the latter forming large prisms. An average chemical composition is available (El Ramly et al., 1982).
