Braun et al. (1993) describe a lateritic profile overlying ‘the Akongo syenite’ with aegirine-augite being present in the fresh syenite. This locality is not on the ‘Cameroon Line’. No further details have been found but Braun et al. (1993) refer to two unpublished theses, that have not been seen by the present author.
