Numerous stocks and dykes of alkaline syenites cut schists and siltstones of upper and middle Carboniferous age. The alkaline syenites are medium- and coarse-grained rocks with trachytic textures. They consist of K-feldspar, albite, aegirine and alkali amphibole. There is a little biotite and accessory anatase, ilmenorutile and titanomagnetite. There is extensive secondary replacement of the alkaline syenites by albite, muscovite and sericite.

Age:
K-Ar on alkaline syenites gave 150 and 137 Ma.
